Sure takes the humidity down quickly. Sleek design but awkward water basket. I™™ve seen reviews that discuss the reliability of the humidistat. So far it seems to be working properly. Kinda scary reading about flammable refrigerant. Definitely read the warnings to avoid a fire!

My old dehumidifier died. From friends and other recommendations I went with this one and was not disappointed. It just works and is quieter than my old one which is a plus.

This is much quieter than my last one. I like that the air from the unit is distributed straight up from the unit and the large capacity tank. My last one had a smaller tank that required more frequent dumping. Works as advertised. We use it in the basement.

This dehumidifier takes out an amazing amount of moisture out of the air in our whole house!! I keep it in the basement, and Have the hose hooked up, so there is no need for me to dump the water container. Have always bought Frigidaire dehumidifiers, because of their durability!! Last one lasted almost 15 years!! Keep up the good work, Frigidaire!!

I have COPD and had a different brand dehumidifier that broke. While I went through the warranty process, I had to buy another dehumidifier so I could breathe better. The difference between the Frigidaire and the other guy is amazing! The Frigidaire cycles and definitely works better. The other guy didn™™t cycle. Big improvement!

Have had it running for about 3 wks now. So far so good. Pulling a good amt of moisture out of air and runs quieter than a previous unit we had. Hopefully it lasts for quite awhile and doesn't quit working because it seems dehumidifiers don't last like ones we have purchased in the past.

My basement quickly reached the desired humidity level, and the unit operates smoothly on a low fan setting to maintain that level. The fan is slightly louder than expected in low mode, but it's not an issue.

Unit works very well. Have the unit set to 50 for humidity level and it is spot on as compared to our humidity level gauge. It is quite a bit quieter than our last unit.

I bought this to replace a 5 year old Frigidaire dehumidifier that died. I like that the air is discharged from the top and not the side like the dead one. It seems nice and quiet and has kept my basement at 45 % humidity. I hope it lasts longer than 5 years. I guess we will see.

Our old Frigidaire dehumidifier lasted 9 years, which we thought was pretty impressive as it™™s been constantly in operation. So when it finally gave out, we replaced it with a new Frigidaire. The new one was easy to set up, runs quietly, and best of all, keeps the basement nice and dry.

The instructions for this machine do not make sufficiently clear that you have to not only take the filter off the back, but also to pull the screen off of it to see if there is dust to be cleaned. I looked at mine every time it said "clean filter" and it never looked dirty, so i rarely rinsed it. Only later did I realize I had to take if apart to see where the dust had collected. This should be demonstrated in the owner's instructions.I believe this is what led to an only two year old machine to start giving me the deadly EC code. We tried many different outlets and approaches and finally just gave up and ordered another new machine - seems way too short a life span for a dehumidifier.

Did not last more than 16 months. I had this installed in my attic by HVAC specialist and it worked for a while. It keeps triggering an error code - which I Googled and it seems to be a very common problem. I also learned that there isn™™t anything that can be done about it. Waste of money.

I live in a 50 year old single family home on a slab. Moisture has been a problem. An inspector suggested a Frigidaire dehumidifier. I selected this model because of the size and convenience of wheels. I am amazed by how much moisture it pulls from the air! My only issue, which could be my sensitivity to sound, it that I can hear it running. My home is small at 1,200 square feet which could also explain why I hear it. This unit comes with a timer so I just set it to turn off at night. The unit also measures the current humidity while allowing me to set a target level so it also turns itself off. I'm happy with this purchase!

I was always extremely happy with my older unit until it started icing up a few weeks. So, I began the hunt.I looked at dozens of different brands and almost bought a Waykar or a hOmelabs. I did extensive research into all three; honest technical reviews and comparisons. The Frigidaire always won on all of the points that were important to me; best for a basement, not as noisy on low fan, large water storage and the most energy efficient. Going on a week already, I could not be happier. This unit is very well built compared to others;.( i.e. a Danby that I saw at Costco yesterday.) Solid performance, looks and construction. If this lasts another 8 years, I'll be looking at buying yet another Frigidaire.
