The freezer works as it should but there is no high temp alarm on it to tell you it is not working to keep food cold.

Brand new freezer will not go below 15-17 degrees on normal freeze. Ice cream is never hard, items in the door are not well frozen. I put the temp on Fast Freeze to make it get colder, but it shuts off and back to normal in 24 hours. I have to make sure I put the freezer on Fast Freeze or nothing is cold enough. even so, after 10 days of running the freezer on Fast Freeze, the coldest it gets is 3 degrees, never the recommended 0, and nothing like the 25 year old Frigidaire upright freezer that stayed at -10 degrees! Having service tomorrow and we'll see if it is having a problem direct from the factory. The freezer also needs another shelf or 2 but we've held off ordering them because of the freezing problem. This freezer is wide, but not very deep, so items tend to try to slide out of the freezer if not perfectly stacked.

Great storage. It was easy to set up and turn on. We purchased this brand of freezer because it was made in the US and it™™s frost free. Sometimes it™™s hard to get replacement parts and we™™re hoping this freezer lasts a long time.

I was pleasantly surprised that it held more than I thought. I HATE change, and loved my older freezer, but when it stopped freezing, we had to buy another one. Apparently Lowes or Home Depot only have about two on display. So. Didn't have much to choose from. We got this one because I am a Whirlpool lover. When we transferred the contents of my older freezer (was not thawed yet) to the new Whirlpool, I was pleasantly surprised. It held everything plus had room for more.

Love this freezer, plenty of shelves and organization . I only buy whirlpool because in my many years of life I've learned whirlpool requires very few service calls if any. My other whirlpool freezer I've had 15 years and not one service call

It™™s a nice freezer but the back blushes out which limited shelf space. We were limited on selection in our town but we appreciate the wire shelves versus glass like others had.

My product was purchased in March of 2023, Whirlpool is a tried and true brand made in the USA that my grandparents had and that is why I purchased my freezer from them. This freezer is now messed up out of warranty and it's under 3 years old. I have to have a technician come and pay them to assess what's wrong and then to repair the freezer. I already spent an exorbitant amount of money to get a freezer to replace my other one that had broken and now this one is not working. The freezer keeps going from above freezing to below freezing and back up again It took 3 days for a half empty freezer to go from 45° down to one. When it should be sitting at negative and it should be able to freeze in under 24 hours.

We are very pleased with our new freezer. We woke up on Saturday, 4 July, (yes...Independence Day) and our old freezer was inoperable and everything was either thawed or nearly thawed. We were frantic because it was a holiday, but we were blessed to have a new freezer in our garage in less than 2 hours. It freezes very nicely, is very roomy with great organizational shelving and basket. Everything we place in it is fully accessible and it holds true to it's set temperature. It's frost-free, so that's no issue at all. Once a year, we'll just wipe it clean. Thanks so much for such a terrific upright freezer.

It's a freezer. It does the job it was intended to do. Nothing more. Nothing less. I don't know what you want me to say. My food is frozen. It's what I expected. Now let's see whether or not at lasts. That will be the true test. Appliances these days don't last. This is my third freezer in 10 years. My parents still have their first freezer they bought in the 1970s. If you want to impress me, make a product that lasts.

I have not had this very long and already it is not freezing. I had just spent hundreds of dollars stocking it with meat. I called to have a technician come see it and have wait 2 weeks. The meat will be ruined. I had to look locally and find a freezer and though small I was able to save the majority of the meat. Just hope this 2nd hand freezer will work until mine is fixed

It hasn't worked since I ordered it, and whirlpool has been no help. I spent my money for nothing.
I purchased this freezer online to be delivered to my new house just before we moved in. It never started freezing. So I contacted support and even paid for extra protection. A technician looked at it and stated that something was wrong with it. He "ordered a part" and said that another technician would be by within 10 days. No one has been to my house to look at this brand new paperweight.

Wish there was a power indicator light on the outside so you can make sure freezer is working. We lost power in our last freezer & lost about $600 worth of food. Also would be nice to have an extra shelf or 2 to buy & add into freezer. Other than that, it's very nice & works great for what we need. Lots of room!

I like my new Whirlpool upright freezer. I bought this one to replace an old freezer that I had for several years. The problem are 1) It needs more shelves and the small shorter shelves are a waste of space as far as I'm concerned. I had to buy 2 extra shelves in the lager size from Amazon to utilize the freezer space. 2)Needs more shelf brackets so you can adjust the shelves to the height you need. 3)Needs to have the air flow vent in the back redesigned, it takes up too much inside space. Maybe make it flat instead of rounded?.

Easy to change door swing direction, plugged it in and it got cold, the magnet on the door is pretty strong making opening the door a bit hard.

Freeze stopped working it was 10 1/2 months old. We were out of town came home and was hearing clicking noise found out it was freezer, the temp was 36 degrees put as much food i could in my refrigerator/ freezer and gave away what I could, still lost a lot of food and was told you don't cover food. Repair man came a week later to look at it and I still have to wait another week for parts to repair it.

I am so frustrated with this freezer.... Unplug it and wait a day or so and it will start freezing again... it will last a couple of days and then everything will thaw out again. Of course, the warranty and ran out and can/t find my receipt where I bought it 2 years ago... I'll find another one, but I PROMISE it won't be Whirlpool!!

I love the freezer itself. The lighting is bright and there is lots of space. Very quiet. However, there are only two preset temps and a Fast Freeze option. It doesn't seem to be cold enough even on the coldest setting. Most items seem frozen except for our ice cream. It is soft. Not melted but just too soft. We will keep that in our other freezer. All in all, a good product. I just wish it had more options for temperature range.

Bought this online last week. Would have preferred to see it in person first, but the only local store that carries appliances didn't have one on the floor (or much of anything else in the freezer department) so I had to go by what was on the website. The main selling point for me was the reversible door, since the best place for a freezer in this house is not convenient for the usual arrangement, so that has been great. I'm still learning about how to maximize this appliance, but it has kept things frozen so far, although some of the items on the top shelf are not as solid as I'm accustomed to.
